Deep Tissue MassageThis is a very effective massage technique directed specifically to individual muscle fibers. By applying deep muscle compression & cross fiber friction, deep tissue massage increases blood & lymphatic flow to loosen the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension. We are careful to keep the depth & pressure of the massage within your comfort range. It also helps remove toxins while relaxing & soothing the muscle to encourage full capacity & operation.
Mud WrapA mud wrap helps to deeply cleanse & balance all skin types, especially for muscle soreness & fatigued bodies. We begin w/ a soft scrub, & then lavish the entire body w/ a stimulating mineral-rich thermal mud. Finally, you are wrapped to encourage perspiration & the release of toxins. An application of a moisturizing body lotion is the soothing finishing touch.
Myofascial Release MassageMyofascial release is stretching of the fascia, the thin tissue that covers every muscle & fiber within each muscle group. The stretch is guided by the feedback the massage therapist feels from your body, which tells them how much force to use, the direction of the stretch, & how long to stretch. The therapist will determine & find an area of tightness & apply a light stretch, wait for the tissue to relax & then increase the stretch. The process is repeated until the area is fully relaxed. Most of our clients are surprised by how gentle, yet deep & relaxing myofascial release can be. Some fall asleep during treatment while others go home & take a nap. It's very important to stay hydrated following this treatment.
Swedish MassageSwedish massage is a classic massage technique that manipulates the muscle tissue to promote stress relief.
