ME deserves better. Well, jreg1215...you must be one of the local idiots in town. If you had even the slightest clue as to what goes on when people die than you would re-think your inadequate opinion. Degenerate = you!!! The Medical Examiner should take the bodies out of the funeral home - what type of owner would keep them in there knowing that they cannot pay their bills. Fine then, when your loved one passes maybe they will be put in the back room until the bills can be paid - the respect will be gone. The funeral home that had the problems deserved a lot worse. Lack of compassion, legalities, common sense - you name it. That funeral home should be sued and the owners should be put in jail. I have a lot of experience in the mortuary industry and when people do not give a damn - then YES, the medical examiner should get involved and do their job. View Less … View More
Lack of Respect. I just read an article that the medical exam. assisted in evicting a owner of a local funeral home to remove the bodies of the dead. What type of organization would follow through with something like this? The owner is suffering like the majority of American citizens and losing money, etc. and the government bails out the banks....rather then the people who need the money and you further that mistake by not taking in to consideration the need of the American people. You could have fought for that owner and saved the business on behalf of the citizen. However, I can imagine that when your money starts running lower..and you are out of ideas, it is your employees who will pay the price because you think like the government that that is the best idea and only way to go. This is a sad and disrespectful story and I hope your employees never have to face the harsh realities the businesses like you bring when you make poor decisions like this one. View Less … View More
The Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office - Dignity and Respect Always. As a former Service-provider to the OCME, I have seen firsthand the environment of the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Office. I was always favorably impressed with the dignity, compassion, and seriousness-of-purpose displayed by every employee of the Office. At the time of the extraordinary stress created by an unexpected death of a loved one, families and/or next-of-kin should take some measure of comfort in knowing that the remains of their loved one are treated, at all times, by the Oakland County Medical Examiner's Staff with the utmost of dignity and respect.
