The worst service ever...avoid at all costs!. The food at this restaurant was pretty decent but the service was the worst I have experienced at any restaurant. The manager seemed to run a one man show...he also waited tables, seated people and took care of the billing. Needless to say there was a long wait for the food to arrive. He also managed to get our order wrong... and was confrontational and downright accusatory and rude when I brought this up. He told me I had never asked for those things... and this is when I had 2 witnesses who heard me. Anyways, on my way out i told him that i was disappointed by this sort of behavior on his part especially since the restaurant business is part of the service industry. At this point he accused me of having an attitude problem. During the meal I had to ask for refills of water, condiments like chutney numerous times... which he never did get to the table. Needless to say I will never go to this restaurant again, and will do my best to disseminate this information to others so tht they arent subject to such humiliation.

Bad reception. I have never seen something like that, the service was unbelievably awful, The waitress checked on us after more than half an hour sitting there without being offered even a glass of water. When the first waitress showed up and we asked a question about the food she couldn't speak English very well and she asked us to wait for somebody else to wait on us. After 15 minutes more waiting we asked for the manager. Manager showed up after 5 minutes and without asking us what the problem was, tried to get our order. I start complaining about long waiting and not offered any drink or water, he shouted and asked the first waiter, who was passing around, if what we're saying was true. ( As though we were lying ). We couldn't stand it anymore and just left the place while the manager was watching us without a sign of regret or shame.

severe gastrointestinal problems- Owner Won't Address. On our last visit my son & I got terrible gastrointestinal problems after eating. We were frequent customers, as the food is delicious and reasonably priced. Also the waitstaff USED TO be friendly. This time the waiter was snarky and rushed, even though the place was empty. By the time we got home we both had severe (and I mean disgusting and SEVERE) problems and fevers. The owner refuses to address the issue. We had nothing else to eat, so I am confident this food was the cause. I have never been so sick and miserable. The manager/owner was very rude when I called to point out the problem. I am taking the situation to the County. The food may be delicious but it certainly isn't worth feeling like you are going to die for 2 days.

Change in Ownership = Bad News. This place has always been reliable for inexpensive, down-home Indian food. In 2006, ownership changed hands and wow ... lots of changes, most of them bad. The food is still good - in fact, maybe even a bit better than it was. So that's nice. But the prices skyrocketed - honestly. Every single entree, especially the vegetarian ones and including the lunch buffet, increased in price $2-$4. The service used to be warm and friendly - but none of the old servers remain. They've been replaced by a group of very haughty men. The best things about this place - the simple food and friendly service - are now gone.
