Scooping up 31 flavors since the 1950s, this long-time dessert parlor is the world's largest ice-cream franchise.. In Short
Strawberry-pink and milk-white are the signature colors of the fast-food realm's ice-cream leader. Customers belly up to counters in food courts or free-standing shops where rows of ice cream-packed tubs stand ready under stacks of sugar cones and cardboard cups. Originally, the "31" promised a different flavor every day of the month. Nowadays, the number signifies constant variety--from Cherries Jubilee and Rocky Road to shakes, smoothies and custom-made cakes.

Biggest heart. Baskin-Robbins is a great place to enjoy ice cream, I mean I didn't know there were more than three flavors until I went to a Baskin-Robbins, but this location will always have a special place in my heart. I think it was 1963, I picked my flavor, got my cone and my parents and I were walking to the parking lot. When we got to the curb I leaned forward to step off - there went my delicous ball of ice cream splat on the asphalt. My parents who would never consider asking for a replacement cone and my dad on a teachers salary couldn't afford a second (the first probably took a month to save for.) Any way, before I could register the loss, the nice lady from behind the Baskin-Robbins counter opened the door and called us back in for a new scoop. I'll never forget:)
