Oh so good. Love the Patio and the atmosphere and I love Ferndale. The food was good. Love the bread sticks. I had a really good Chicken entree. Everyone at the table loved it and of course had to have a slice of there famous Pizza.…
Hi, warning to all who would eat at this place, it is so dirty and the bathrooms have things everywhere the bar stinks. the food will make u sick and it is a hazard to public health of individuals. The chicken is never cooked all the way threw the pasta is mushy. The meatballs are a week old the red head waitress told us not to eat the bread because the servers pick out of trash and out it back, along with the potatoes. The salad is stored in used trash bags. We told the owner that we got sick and we didn't ask for money we just wanted to let her know and my 4 year old daughter who was standing by me at the time when i spoke to the owner, had to witness the owner swear at her mom the owner had told me to go f myself and to get out of her restaurant. The owner had an unlit cig hanging from her mouth like a scam artist car dealer from the ghetto and some fat ass cook who is about 321 lbs with long nails named mike had the nerve to pick his nails with a toothpick.…
Waitress begged for a larger tip.
My boyfriend and I made our second annual pilgrimage to the Woodward Dream Cruise this past weeked. Last year we ate at Comos and had a really good time. We were once again looking forward to
dining there, not so much for the food, but for the unique and fun atmosphere and to be outside to enjoy the weather.
Unfortunately, not quite as fun as last year. When we arrived, I was told to seat myself (not a problem), but I also had to wipe down my own table because it had recently rained. When our waitress came over, she took our drink orders, but seemed really pre-occupied. (the restaurant was about half full). No conversation or even a smile. After our drinks came, we ordered our food. This took about 10 or 15 minutes .. still not so bad.
After our order, my boyfriend went to the restroom. When he was gone, our waitress came back to the table to let me know that they were out of my stuffed shrimp dinner and would I like fried shrimp instead. As she said this, no aplology, no smile, just an annoyed young lady who acted like I was stressing her out. I told her no I did not want shrimp and would like to see a menu. I could tell she wasn't happy about this. I got the menu then waited about 15 minutes to re-order my food (we were both hungry as it was about 8 pm). When our food was delivered, she brough it without any silverware or ketchup or other condiments. She mentioned to us that she would bring them out, then went to the next table to talk to her other customers and prormptly forgot about us. After about 10 minutes, I knew she was never coming back. As my boyfirends pasta got colder, he decided to look for these things on his own. He found our waitress, asked her where the sliverware was and she didn't even recognize him as her customer, told him to ask his waitress for what he neeeded, but no offer to just do it herself. He just ended up grabbing it from the restaurant indoors. We ate our food. My cheeseburger was terrible and missing the coleslaw. His pasta was cold. But, no one to check on us and not a snowballs chance in hell of getting our food fixed. And now the best part. Our waitress later realizes that we need our check and that she has totally forgotten our silverware and furthermore, was actually talking to her customer when she told my boyfriend to find his waitress. She explains to us that she has only worked there a short time, etc. She hands us our bill and tells us that the gratuity is already on the bill (I've never heard of this for a party of 2). Then we ask her to wait while we pay her (we want to get out a.s.a.p.). Our bill was $40. SHe asks my boyfriend how much change he wants back from his $50. He is embarrassed and says $5. I am just seeing red and don't say anything. I am just shocked. When she comes back, she gives him the entire amount of change and waits to see if he will give her an additional tip, while explaining to us that she has student loans. Unbelievable! She has no clue what it is to be a server, to serve or to get good service. I just couldn't believe the nerve. So needless to say, that was our second and last trip to Comos. Bad food, bad service, bad everything.…
Who charges 20% gratuity for a table of Four?.
My husband and I, along with two male friend, went to Como's for dinner last night. Our experience didn't start poorly. A girl sitting at a desk right by the door told us we could sit where-ever, and
we didn't wait more than 5 minutes for someone to drop off menus or the waiter to show up.
The waiter didn't seem all that bad, he joked with us about how everyone was getting water except one. When we chose our spot, there were only two sets of silverware, and it remained that way all night.
Our drinks came quickly, and were refilled when needed.
We ordered without problems, but it was when the food arrived that things started to go downhill.
I paid $10 for a deluxe chicken sandwich with no more than ten fries, and the waiter forgot to bring my coleslaw. He also forgot my husbands salad (which he ordered with french dressing, and it wasn't until the salad was brought out that we were informed they didn't have french, even though he asked if they did). On top of that, one friend ordered just the fish sandwich, and it arrived deluxe. He was short on cash that night, and ended up using the rest of what he brought just to pay the extra $4 for ten fries.
The lettuce on my sandwich, and my husbands salad, was the white inter layer of iceberg lettuce and was already turning pink and yellow along the edges.
After finishing our meal, our waiter brought our check. My husband asked if he could divide it up, as we clearly were not a family with small children (the only time you should assume its all on one check), but a group of friends eating out together. He explained "You would have had to tell me that at the beginning." If you couldn't divide the check up after giving it to a patron, shouldn't you ask how the check will be divided at the beginning? As it was, we all had a strange assortment of bills, and my husband and I only had large bills. I don't have a problem buying dinner for my friends, but the waiter made things complicated by not asking if the check was divided.
The next surprise we found is that there is a 20% gratuity for a table of FOUR. Not only was our service not worthy of 13% for a tip (I usually tip 15% if I didn't have complaints), but I NEVER tip 20% unless the entire dinning experience was perfect. I have NEVER heard of a place charging a 20% gratuity, much less for a table of four.
I was so irritated by the time we left I wanted to speak with a manager, but my husband encouraged me to let it go and just leave.
Overall, the food was only so-so for an outrageous price, and the service was shitty at best.
