Great food, pricier than expected. I really like Om Cafe - the food is tasty and healthy, the servers are prompt and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is casual and hip. But I worry about this place - it used to be purely vegetarian and vegan, and now they serve fish. What the heck is that about? And the prices! Om used to be well-known for serving healthy food on the cheap. Now, you're lucky to walk out of there for less than $15 or $20 for just an entree and a cup of tea - not outrageous, but certainly not the value it once was.

I recommend this place for the health-conscious, but not the budget conscious.

Looking for macrobiotic nirvana? Meditate no longer. There's nothing but vegetarian fare to be found here.. In Short
Walk past the tiny kitchen through a narrow hall into a small dining room with pine paneling, local artwork and plastic plants. Aging hippies, vegans and families chat over the hushed rhythms of reggae and jazz. A small but colorful menu features macrobiotic and vegetarian specialties, stir fries, Mexican and fish. Regulars dive into the macrobiotic plate: a huge serving of organic brown rice, adzuki beans, arame sea vegetable and steamed vegetables.

A Vegan Paradise. The Om Cafe has great tasting food that is sure to please! I personally love the brown rice and vegetables with tofu, and the tofu vegetable soup. It does take a while to get your food so make sure you have some time. But once you get it, it's all worth it!
