McD would have been better. My wife and I selected Capital Grill for a nice dinner. The bar was nice, expensive but I expect that from a highend place. The customers on the other hand are sloppy and over impressed with themselves. Men in tight shorts, slobs in dirty tee shirts, talking on cell phones so everyone could hear how important they were. No table manners at all. Staff made sure to tell us they were a famous steak house. We ordered their signature steaks of course Mid rare. First ones delivered to us were over well done. After another try and another hour wait they were still over done but we had so much time into this place by now we tried to eat what they brought us. Little over cooked, no taste and tough. For $100 a plate I expect more. I do not recomment this place. I've had better meals at McDonalds for under $5.00. Good luck seems to be the word of the day at the Grill. Sorry but my taste run a bit higher. No way will I ever return.…
Wonderful and memorable. The food here is always wonderful, fresh and well priced. The manager is very friendly and makes you feel as if you enetered their kitchen. The service was fantastic - so caring and attentive. The citrus glazed salmon was unbelievable! My husband had the Kona encrusted strip steak which melts in your mouth. The strip steak was charred to perfection and there was not a drop left on the plate! The wine was affordable and wonderful. The chocolate dessert was scrumptious. The wait staff was professional, courteous and made our evening so special. This place is certainly on my short list of great places to come back to. Wish I could eat here every night.…
GREAT FOOD- GREAT SERVICE. Our new favorite place, the food is a little expensive, but well worth the experience. The place is very clean, the servers are very professional and the food is out of this world. They have one of the best wine list in oakland county.…
Best Overall Dining Experience in Metro Detroit!. The Capital Grille has been a mainstay in the Metro Detroit community for over 10 years, and ever since I moved here from Chicago (restaurant Capital of the midwest!), it has been my favorite spot for after-work drinks in the lounge as well as special occassion and business dining. It is a place where I walk in the door and people remember my name, bartender Debbie remembers the way I like my martinis, servers intuitively know what I need and how much attention I need them to shower upon my guests. Hostesses at the door are all beautiful, seasoned professionals that greet me with the same warmth that they greet the business men that come daily. There are many upscale touches that make me feel pampered. Love the white linen-covered tables, candle lit ambiance and power crowd. My favorite steak is the Kona-crusted Sirloin and the original Stoli Doli martini. Have you tried the new Grapefruit Buck cocktail? Delicious. Lounge is always friendly and bustling and they just added three new dining rooms so I can now think about throwing my sister's shower here or planning my own rehearsal dinner here (when I meet Mr. Right in the lounge) in the beautiful new private rooms. Despite the new restaurants opening around town, this continues to be a stellar stand out that effectively overshadows the dining alternatives.…
Steak, steak, and steak. The spicy fried calamari appetizer was good, except that it could use less salt. Both the filet mignon and Delmonico steak was very good, though the latter was a little more to my taste(I have yet to try the Kona sirloin). The streak is huge and the meat is good. The service was definitely good and the atmosphere's pretty nice. The lobster bisque and clam chowder are both very good soups. The side order, mashed potatoes and mushroom sautee was also a nice choice. In general, I liked this place. Surely it is a pricy dinner, but for a special occassion, especially when one's a steak lover, it would be a good choice.…
