What People Are Saying About Kam's Express

In Short – There's little more to this clean storefront take-out restaurant than a small kitchen and a cash register. All the Chinese favorites are on the menu, including egg foo young, chop suey and lo mein. Lunch combination plates include egg rolls and chicken fried rice. For a healthier, lighter treat, try the vegetable lo mein--pan fried noodles with broccoli, mushrooms, onions and red peppers.

Review?

After reading this i guess i'm fairly confused about what people's negative reviews are about not being "upscale" i hope you people realize what the duce your saying. Kams is good express american chinese food. Is it always perfect no, but its very good most of the time.
Why are they rated so high!
by FoodRater at Citysearch
I decided to come here for lunch recently due to the overwhelming great reviews. When I brought the food home it was horrible. The rice was dry, the chicken tasted gummy. I don't know...maybe it's me but this was not worth my money at all. Go somewhere else--
- Pros: Nice Staff
- Cons: Food horrible..
Great Chinese Carry-Out!
by mj2004 at Citysearch
Kam's has the best Chinese food I've had. The kids and I love the General Tso's Chicken and my husband likes the Almond Boneless Chicken. Tonight he's going to try the Pepper Steak because he wants something spicier. One note: you may want to order a degree of heat higher than you normally would since they seem not to add as much heat as you would expect. I've tried the General Tso's at many other places but nothing has come close to the flavor of Kam's. They are friendly and willing to donate to the community (Berkley High School athletics). They take only cash - no checks or credit cards, and I rarely carry cash, but for their food I'm willing to make a run to the ATM. They're great!!!
- Pros: Awesome food
- Cons: Must pay with cash
Good food

Wow, it is interesting how easily folks can overly critique food that they could not cook themselves. The food at Kam's is good "American Chinese". It is carryout. The "real" Chinese food should be found in a much more upscale setting. I have enjoyed the food at Kam's every time I have been there.
- Pros: Good food, great prices, fast friendly service
- Cons: none
Unbelievable Chinese
by swl681 at Citysearch
I have been recently introduced to Kam's Express within the past few months and I must say that I find it a treat every time. There sweet and sour chicken is tremendous and there egg rolls and fried rice have always been tasty. I am now a regular at least once a week. I have seen many of there other dinners and they look good as well. I am stuck right now on there sweet and sour chicken but I can't wait to try some of there other items along with there egg drop soup. Highly recommended.
- Pros: Quick Service, Hot Food and Very Good Food
- Cons: None, try it soon!
