Heinrich's Decorating Nook

ALWAYS A PLEASURE. I am an intermediate baker and find that I have a hard time containing myself inside this store. I could stay for hours, just looking at the variety, and hoping to get a phone call to make a specialty cake or cupcakes. Unless it's behind a counter, I have no need for employees helping me, so that point is moot to me. I strongly and highly recommend this store, because if you are a cake decorator, you know what you need and shouldn't be bothered by the employees, helpful, pleasant, or otherwise.…

All things considered, this store is the best!. I've shopped at many cake supply stores in the Metropolitan area and I still think Heinrich's is the best. I too have found that the workers in this business just aren't the bubbliest people, Heinrich's included. However, Heinrich's has the best hours and they definitely have the largest selection. And while they aren't particularly friendly, they haven't been rude either. It's pretty much if you don't bother them, they won't bother you....and I can accept that. I just remind myself that it's a cake supply store, not a "feel good" store. I had a very bad experience at one cake supply store but I wouldn't do them the favor of mentioning their name and giving them the advertising. I'm glad Heinrich's doesn't resemble that type of atmosphere at all. I like that Heinrich's keeps their shelves clean and stocked with fresh and current items.... not filled with dusty old bottles of flavoring with stains all over them and white labels that have yellowed with age, as one of their competitors often does. I've seen things at some cake supply stores that I wouldn't want if they gave it away for free. So if you want to find the products you need, Heinrich's has it all.... classes, hard to find items that you expected to find online only, competitive prices, good parking, and great hours.…
