Amazing Korean BBQ!. This was my first visit to a Korean BBQ restaurant in the U.S. I had been to Korea a couple times and had lived in Japan for 6 years and had wonderful memories of Korean BBQ in both countries. My husband and I came to visit a friend and decided to try out Korean BBQ and found Shilla. We were seated right away to a table and had chosen to get the Land Combination for 3. After a couple of minutes they bring out 6 little plates ranging from potato salad to kimchee and other pickled vegetables. They were all so good and spicy! Next came out was our individual bowls of rice and lettuce, ( i was so excited that they brought out the lettuce!! There is nothing better in this world then putting a freshly cooked piece of meat, a little bit of cooked rice and some soy sauce on top of the lettuce, wrapping it up and enjoying the harmony of flavors!!!). I did miss grilling the meat ourselves, but it was nice to relax and watch our waitress do all the grilling. The meats in the combination meal were spicy pork, chicken, ribeye and another beef along with veggies grilled too! We were so stuffed at the end of this meal! It was a great deal and an even greater experience. My husband and I will definitely come back when we visit our friend!

pretty good Korean food. I was impressed with Shilla and will definitely go again. It isn't as good as Korean food in Seoul or LA, but I thought the flavors were spot on if just a little weaker than I would have liked. The seasoning on the kalbi tasted right but could have been stronger, and the flavors in my dumpling soup (duk mandoo gook) were awesome - I picked up the bowl and drank the broth when I was done. I had to add a little salt to enhance the flavors, but it was still pretty good. The kimchi was fresh but best of all was the kimchi-pickled cucumber - tasted better than my mom's! I downed it all with an OB Lager - a light Korean beer that is slightly fuller-bodied than Sapporo. I wouldn't recommend getting the Japanese dishes; this is clearly a Korean-owned Korean restaurant and the sushi was average at best. The service was pretty good. It wasn't quite as prompt as I would have liked but honestly, in my experience that's pretty common in Korean restaurants.

Very average Korean place.. There are better Korean restaurants. The food is below average, and the service is terrible. I decided to go here twice, and both times... suffered through horrible service. First time, shame on you.

Second time, shame on me

Third time, never...

Not Worth It, Move On and Find Another Restaurant. We ordered an appetiser which never came and the scallop nigiri but they were out of it. We had a spicy salmon roll which was awful. My wife ordered a Korean noodle dish but the waitress kept saying no, "you won't like that" why not try some yakisoba or udon noodles. She said that americans don't like the Korean dish. I ordered the BBQ chicken and it was nothing more than some really bad food court teriyaki. Both dishes were so bland we had to have the sushi chef give us some hot chili sauce which he reminded me that it was really hot. So I here I am dipping my supposed Korean BBQ in both soy and chili sauce just to give it some flavor. We were given no water and had to ask twice for more hot tea. Overall, bad experience, never going back.

Good Korean. When ever I go the place is full of Korean people, and I know why. The food is good and authentic. The BBQ is tasty and so are the non-BBQ items. They also serve Japanese. The rolls were good and the fish was fresh. It is worth the drive even if it does not have the fanciest address.
